Speak with confidence.
Connect authentically.
Be memorable.
First impressions are made before we open our mouths.
They are formed by our clothing. Our demeanor. The way we walk into a room.
It's all communication.
During an interview, the other person's brain is looking for a way to prove that impression. Be it good or bad.
For young women stepping into the pageant world, there are no higher stakes than the private interview room. That is where the crown is won or lost. Having sat on judging panels at the local and state levels, I've watched great communicators own the room while others crash and burn.
The Goal Isn't to Sound Rehearsed. It's to Sound Like You.
A strong pageant interview isn't about memorizing the perfect answer. Judges want to understand who you are, what you care about, and what you will bring to the title.
That's why my coaching focuses on helping you become a stronger communicator, not simply a better interviewee.
We'll work on how you enter the room, how you connect, how you think on your feet, how you tell your story, and how you communicate your ideas with confidence—all while making sure your personality still comes through.
Because the most memorable answer is rarely the one that sounds perfect.
It's the one that feels authentic.
Experience From Both Sides of the Interview
In the early 2000s, as a TV reporter, I was asked to serve on a panel of leaders to prep the reigning Miss Arkansas for her interview at Miss America. For several years, we would craft answers that came from the heart. Authentic stories that were relatable and, when told with the right inflection, left a powerful impact.
That experience, combined with more than two decades of interviewing people as a broadcast journalist and my own experience sitting on pageant judging panels, shapes the way I coach today.
I know what it's like to ask the questions, evaluate the answers, and recognize the moment when someone stops simply answering and starts genuinely connecting.
Skills That Go Beyond the Crown
The communication skills developed through pageant coaching don't disappear when the competition ends.
Learning to make a strong first impression, articulate your ideas, tell your story, handle unexpected questions, connect with an audience, and remain composed under pressure will serve you in college interviews, internships, careers, leadership opportunities, speaking engagements, and life.
The pageant may be the reason you start. Strong communication is something you'll carry with you long after you leave the stage.
Is Private Coaching Right for You?
If you know a young woman who aspires to wear the crown, private interview coaching may be exactly what sets her apart from the others.
This is personalized coaching for competitors who are ready to prepare intentionally, receive direct feedback, and put in the work to become more confident and authentic communicators.
This exclusive coaching opportunity is not for everyone. For that reason, the first step is to complete a short application to be considered.
