Small Wins, Big Impact: Why You Should Celebrate More

When was the last time you threw your hands in the air and celebrated? I'm talking about celebrating a WIN in your business or in life. Did you land a new line for your boutique, acquire a huge client for your firm, try crafting something at a higher difficulty level and nail it? Did you make your bed, fold the laundry, or get the kids to practice without losing your cool? ALL of these are worth celebrating !!

Hear me out, when we celebrate small, seemingly meaningless tasks, we are giving our brain a dopamine hit. Similar to what gets triggered when getting onto social media or hearing the notification that an email has come in. It’s that little ‘hit’ of something good. The more we celebrate the small stuff, the happier and less stressed out our brains are.

A recent discovery had me celebrating! A few of my answers to a writer's questions on top publicity tips were featured in her blog post online. You can check it out here! I was on the treadmill when the email came in and let the fist pumping in the air commence!! How did I celebrate? Cooked a favorite dinner and enjoyed a home design show on television. Nothing major, yet special for that evening.
