Goodbye June: A Fresh Start for the Rest of 2025
At the writing of this, I am sitting in a local coffee shop in southwest Missouri.
This week, it’s time to work on the vision for the last 6 months of 2025. No more excuses. No more procrastination. The front half of 2025, I was shooting from the hip. There was no plan. Just free-falling. I am a planner. Despite my best efforts to try to roll with the flow, it causes a lot of unnecessary stress and higher Cortisol. I function better with a plan.
When I worked in Corporate America, we would have strategic planning sessions at least once a year, if not twice. Not a bad idea. Typically, to stay proactive, the idea is to plan roughly a quarter ahead. This is something I strive for in my business. I’m not there completely, and in no way is this meant to make you feel like that’s one more thing you’re failing at as a business owner. You aren’t failing.
How does strategic planning look for an entrepreneur or solopreneur? This week holds a lot of writing, going over my vision and goals to shoot for between now and December. It’s working in the morning, then shopping, and in the sunshine in the afternoon. Balancing work and fun, and not getting stressed out.
What are 2-5 things that could create a fresh start for you? 2025 isn’t over yet. As June is winding down, take a breath and exhale. You are right on time. Enjoy the summer, the pool, the lake, and sunshine. Enjoy cooking out, eating alone, and cold air conditioning. Enjoy finding a rhythm in the chaos of no schedule.
If you're craving more clarity and structure in your business (especially after a season of winging it), I’ve got a free resource to help. The Strategic Planning Packet is designed to help you brain-dump, map out goals, and get intentional about the next 6–12 months—without the overwhelm. Whether you're planning content, launches, or just trying to find your rhythm, download the freebie and start building a plan that actually works for you.
You’re not behind—you’re just getting started. Let’s plan what’s next.
No one likes the feeling of wandering aimlessly.
